Indra Adnan is the founder and co-founder of The Alternative Global (AG), a democratic innovation lab in Edinburgh. AG publishes Daily Alternative Media and acts as a host and platform for what is increasingly described as an emerging eco-civilization. Among other things, AG is working to develop a global architecture for education, media and a much more participatory political system. Central to the vision of AG is the complex relationship between the individual, the community and the planet: I, We, World.

Indra Adnan is a psychosocial therapist, journalist and author. Her book The Politics of Waking Up: Power and Possibility In The Fractal Age was selected as one of the best books of the year by the Times Literary Supplement in 2021. She has also advised the World Economic Forum, the Indian, Finnish and Scottish governments, NATO and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. She has written for The Guardian and The Huffington Post.
