The purpose of the masterclass “360° leadership and the new reality” is to give you a new perspective – yes, new lenses – to understand the world of today. Where an old system seems to be collapsing before our eyes and a new sustainable system is cautiously trying to establish itself.
What does all this mean for us as a society, for our local communities and not least for the individual – you?
It’s questions like these that we want to explore. Based on the principle: The best way to predict the future is to create it.
The masterclass “360° leadership and the new reality” is for those who clearly sense that the world – both external and internal – is in motion. But also want to understand why. You know from your own experiences with either formal or informal leadership that the “old system” too often gets bogged down in over-bureaucratic structures and a lack of vitality and creativity.
You also know that the future calls for a “new system”: a different way of education, a different way of producing, a different way of working, a different way of living. Because if we don’t quickly re-establish not only a much more respectful and deep relationship with nature, but also with each other and ourselves, we will potentially face a climate and civilization collapse within our grandchildren’s lifetime.
If your immediate reaction to that is: You’ve got to be kidding – then the masterclass “360° leadership and the new reality” might be for you.
To be admitted to the masterclass, you must have a concrete project idea with you. It must be a challenging but also realistic project idea. A project idea that you would like to work on formulating and concretizing over the three teaching modules.
Moreover, you have to be actively contributing to an open and respectful dialog and good progress in your triplet team so that you – together with the rest of us – ensure that there is always a mentally high ceiling and both desire and courage to explore issues that really matter.
The three learning modules are built on the logic: World. You. And you in the world. Here is a brief presentation of the three courses:
Module 1: The world
Facilitators: Indra Adnan, Pat Kane, Uffe Elbæk, Jonatan Porsager
The focus is on the complex and profound changes we are in the midst of. Climatic, geopolitical, cultural and technological. What does this “perfect storm” mean for your current everyday life and the personal project you will work on during the masterclass?
Module 2: You
Facilitators: Hanno Burmester, Uffe Elbæk, Jonatan Porsager
Your own life story. What has shaped you? What was the time and environment you were born into? What gifts have you been given and what would you have preferred to do without? And how does it affect your projects, activities and choices today?
Module 3: You in the world
Facilitators: Iris Wirz, Uffe Elbæk, Jonatan Porsager
How do you communicate and manifest yourself, your dreams, ambitions and initiatives? And how can you ensure that your message and narrative is carried by a strong inner power and necessity so that the world sees, hears and takes you seriously.
In all three modules, training will address both the challenges of the “old system” and the opportunities of the “new system”.
In addition, there will be a Zoom introductory meeting. Here you will have the opportunity to briefly present your personal project idea that you will be working on during the masterclass to the other participants in the program. As well as share your expectations and motivation for participating in the program.
This is also where you will be introduced to your triplet team. That is, the two other participants in the masterclass, who will be your closest dialog partners throughout the process.
One month after the masterclass, there will be a Zoom reflection meeting. Here, you and the other participants will have the opportunity to put into words what each of you will take away from the masterclass. And agree on how to stay in touch with each other going forward.
We have found the perfect home for “360° leadership and the new reality”. It’s located in an overgrown – and for most people unknown – part of the old fortress on the outermost tip of Reffen and Copenhagen Harbor.
Inside the “Bunker” – as the place is called – there are great classrooms with both soul and beauty. And outside, there’s room for long table dinners, campfires and views of Sweden. The location beautifully symbolizes the spirit and intention of the masterclass to stand with a solid foot in the known, but also – and perhaps not least – a curious foot in the unknown.
Pedagogically and professionally, we work according to the 3H teaching principle. This means that no matter what we deal with during the masterclass, it is our ambition that you will be inspired intellectually (the head), emotionally (the heart) and action-wise (the hand).
It is also important to us that each module introduces you to perspectives and concrete models and tools that you can benefit from after completing the masterclass. This means that you can connect what you learn in the masterclass to firstly your own personal project. And then to the reality you are part of outside the masterclass.
You can expect all trainers to share all their professional knowledge with you. They will generously take you behind the scenes of their personal life stories and tell you what it has been like to be at the forefront of large, complex and risky change processes. Both on good and bad days.
Therefore, there will not be a question or issue that it would not be appropriate to address during the process. All perspectives can be turned around. It is also important for us to emphasize that the values on which the masterclass is based are: Personal integrity, openness and empathy. It is therefore everyone’s responsibility to build a safe and respectful shared learning space.
Over the past year, a small group of international educators, entrepreneurs and leaders – who have years of experience working together across the globe – have been discussing how we could apply our shared experiences in response to what’s happening in the world right now.
The many conversations throughout 2024 gave birth to the idea of creating a new international masterclass program that would be as relevant in Tokyo as in Munich or Edinburgh. This is the program we are now offering for the first time in Copenhagen. In the autumn, the same program will be held in Tokyo.
With the experiences from Copenhagen and Tokyo, we will fine-tune the program and during 2026 offer the program in the German-speaking part of Europe as well as in England and Scotland.
But as we all know, every movement starts with someone taking the first step. And it was us in Copenhagen who got the honor of starting.
In addition to the international trainers already presented, Tomorrow Collective works closely with the creative consultancy laere in Tokyo. Or as they call themselves: A co-creation action design firm. It is the colleagues at laere who will hold the masterclass in Tokyo in the fall of 2025. Therefore, a short presentation of them:
Zoom introductory meeting: Wednesday April 30 from 19.00 to 22.30
Module 1: Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9. Both days from 09.00 to 18.00.
Module 2: Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20. Both days from 09.00 to 18.00.
Module 3: Thursday, June 5th and Friday, June 6th. First day from 09.00 to 18.00. Second day with an open back as we expect to end with a celebratory dinner.
Zoom reflection meeting: Thursday September 4th from 19.00 to 22.30
In addition to tuition, teaching materials and individual coaching, this amount covers lunch on all three teaching modules, as well as coffee, tea and cake – when the blood sugar is in free fall.
The price is set the way it is because everyone involved has agreed to reduce their fees. And why is that? Because this is the first time we are running this masterclass. Therefore, it’s also a learning process for those of us on the floor. Which, on the other hand, only makes this first masterclass class special for us.
