Frederikke Veirum Høgsgaard

Frederikke works at the intersection of education, democracy and sustainable transition.

With years of experience as a project manager, she works across sectors, generations and borders. Most recently as part of the team behind the Wellbeing Economy Alliance Denmark (WEALLDK) and the Danish conference on the Wellbeing Economy – a new economy that supports human wellbeing within planetary boundaries and with respect for nature’s ecosystems.

As a policy advisor and event coordinator, her work has focused on the intersection of education and climate, democracy building through the student movement, academic freedom and human rights protection. She has collaborated with a wide range of international organizations and networks including Oxfam, ActionAid, SAIH, UNESCO and UNHCR.

Central to Frederike’s work is a strong belief in the power of community and the value of connecting grassroots with institutional decision makers. She is passionate about democratizing the economy, creating spaces where young people can shape the future and connecting local action with global structures.
