Ingrid Mikkelsen

Ingrid is driven by a desire to build bridges between actors and strengthen communities that support the transition toward a more just and sustainable society.

With a degree in International Development Studies and a background as a project manager, most recently at Oxfam Denmark, she has specialised in advocacy for climate justice and wellbeing economy — with a particular focus on strengthening civil society and supporting young people’s engagement and influence.

At the core of her work lies a fundamental belief that true change is created collectively. Building and supporting partnerships and alliances are therefore central to her approach. Among other things, she has helped establish Oxfam’s cross-European group for youth mobilisation on climate justice and most recently led the strategy development for Alliancen for Trivselsøkonomi — the Danish hub of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance.

Ingrid’s work is guided by the conviction that having strong, transformative goals and results is not enough; the methods used to achieve them also shape the path forward. For that reason, feminist methodology and the principles of care, equality, solidarity, and intersectionality form the foundation of her practice — as well as a continuous source of learning and personal growth.
